There've been rumors of planned layoffs for the past few weeks. Kara invited me to her office this morning and both her and someone from HR said my position didn't exist anymore, and they explained the severance package to me, and the package was very generous. Kara made it as humane as possible. I had as much time as I needed to say goodbye to my colleagues.

They were shooting the ball extremely well. They controlled the game. Every time we'd make a spurt, they'd have an answer.

It's nice that my family got to be part of it. I'm just happy to be home and hope that there will be a smooth transition for everybody. It's been a different life for the last 14 months than we're used to.
